One of the companies established and owned by Gafat Endowment is Tana Flora, which is engaged in the horticulture sector. The company is legally established in February 2008 by issuing an investment license from Bahir Dar City Administration and a business license from the Ministry of Trade.

As the mission of Gafat Endowment is to engage in investment sectors that the government has focused on and that private investors have not sufficiently developed, it has established Tana Flora, the first horticultural investment sector in the Amhara region, planted on 36 hectares of land.         Therefore, it has opened the door for many investors to acquire land and start investing in Bahir Dar and its surrounding areas.

Tana Flora plays a significant role in generating foreign exchange, creating employment opportunities for thousands of young people, especially women, and contributing to efforts to ensure economic prosperity in rural areas. Tana Flora is the first and largest flower farm in the Amhara region, which began producing and exporting products in 2011.

The company is generating foreign exchange for our country by producing quality flowers and exporting them to Europe, Middle East, and the Far East. To further strengthen this, it is also working to cultivate avocado fruits and vegetables on 34.5 hectares of land in a modern way and exporting to foreign markets. The company has obtained international certificates that allow it to participate extensively in the international flower, vegetable, and fruit markets.
